Cherry Blossoms (at Shiroishi Castle)
Shiroishi Castle is the symbol of Shiroishi City. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is from early to mid-April. Take pictures at different angles to capture its beauty!
Baikamo (in front of Samurai Residence)
On the road from Shiroishi Castle to the Samurai Residence, you can see “Baikamo", which is a rare species in Japan. Baikomo flower has become very valuable becasue the number of it is decreasing year by year. The white flowers that bloom so prettily in the flowing water are relaxing to watch.
Japanese Swamp Lantern (at Mizubasho no Mori )
In Mizu-Basho forest(Mizubasho no Mori), you can enjoy “Japanese Swamp Lantern", a beautiful white flower floting on water. At its peak, more than 50,000 flowers are in bloom, making a spectacular sight.
Hydrangea Road (Kawarago Area)
The road leading to Mizubasho no Mori is called "Hydrangea Road," and it is flanked with 5,000 hydrangea flowers and stretches for about 8 kilometers. You can enjoy the various colors of hydrangeas such as blue, white and pink.
