In the lush greenery of Zao Fox Village are many foxes, roaming freely in nature. You can also touch and feed the foxes here. Besides foxes, there are also other animals such as ponies, mountain goats and rabbits here in Zao Fox Village.
Zao Fox Village is a rare animal breeding facility for foxes located in Yatsumiya area of Fukuoka in Shiroishi City. Miyagi Zao Fox Village is known to have helped out with the performance collaboration of the movie “Kogitsune Helen (Helen the Baby Fox)”. Zao Fox Village is established in the forests of Kawarago area and is a place where you can get a glimpse into the lives of foxes. There are many types of foxes living here in Zao Fox Village. The types of foxes are Silver fox, Arctic fox and etc.
The largest area contains about 100 foxes that you can see in close range. The foxes that appeared in the movie “Kogitsune Helen” are now growing up fast! Zao Fox Village is a valuable facility that allows people and animals to learn to live together. Every spring you get the chance to cuddle the adorable baby foxes born.
There are stores selling “fox goods” and restaurants in the facility. The photos of foxes in the 4 seasons is a must see!★We are thorough with our hygiene management such as cleanup of the facilities, and vaccinations. The animals are sensitive to sounds and are always alert.
